Adopt a Soldier!

As happens on almost every Tuesday when the WB airs a new episode, we had Buffy Night in my apartment last night. I was glad to have company for this episode, because the demon du jour really creeped me out. A lot. My ex-roommate and I sat on the couch and made that "I dont like the big bug on the screen" noisesort of a tuneless, high-pitched humwith our knees hugged up to our chests. Im not quite sure why this particular creepy crawly did it to me, but I was glad when it was dead.

Although it didnt leave me with any lasting uneasiness, I went to sleep and had weird, unpleasant dreams. In one, the Boyfriend and I went to the movies with a couple other friends (my friend Jen, who is that Artboys ex-girlfriend also, and another random acquaintance) to see some horrible film about terrorists who take over a hospital. They were killing off the terrified staff and patients in various terrible ways. One of the patients in my dream had also been a patient on Buffy, but instead of being offed by a queller demon, this time he got shot in the head point blank. Finally, someone said something about the alarm, and the picture zoomed out to show the outside of the building being surrounded by police, then the building exploded into flames.

At that point my entire dream shifted, and the Boyfriend was driving the Supermetro into the city, with me in the passenger seat. We looked off on the horizon and could see the glow from the fire (no longer, apparently, part of the movie, but an active part of my dream) in the area where my hospital actually is. There was no traffic visible at all in front of us on the expressway. Suddenly, there was a deafening noise above us as an airplane slid down to a landing on the highway just in front of the car. Then more loud noise. Three planes landed in quick succession. The Boyfriend swerved to avoid crashing into them, instead narrowly missing a car to our right as we tried to pull off the road.

Im not sure what all of this means.
