I have much to say and not nearly enough brain power to say it, but I couldn't let today go by and not commemorate it.
My goddaughter was born today. At 7:15 this evening, I sat in a rocking chair and held her perfect little not-even-quite-six-hours-old body in my arms and took stock. Perfect. She is a beautiful, perfect miracle, and I am so very thankful that I got to share in a little piece of her Birth Day.
Welcome to the world, little one. I promise I will do my best to make it a good place for you.
Love you, too, Carla.
