Moist Chocolaty Goodness

Adopt a Soldier!

Racer 96 started a blog for the diary survivor contestants. This is a cool thing! Awfully glad hes on the island, that Mike. Hes helped me try to tie a postcard to the leg of one of the island birds, wishing Kathy well in her journey home.

Im not insane. Really. I do know Im not really on an island. That would be much more fun than being here at the hospital. Even if we were all starving and slightly insane.

Perhaps a vacation would be good.

No chance of that. I have honeymoon time to save up!

So today is Steves birthday. Despite the fact that hes leaving the hospital and uprooting his whole family out of our lives and into Milwaukee, I made him a cake. Cupcakes, actually. There are four left. Its all I can do to not eat them all myself, one by one. Theres no one else left in the administrative area. Nobody would know. It would be our dirty little secret, Diaryland.

Of course, later on, when I was all bloated and hating myself and feeling ridiculously fat and out of shape, Id regret it. But right now, it feels like a great idea!

Maybe I could eat just one. One would be enough. Really. It would.

The smell of the frosting is really getting to me. Creamy, chocolaty frosting. Moist chocolate fudge cake. Packaged up in a few bites of baked goodness.

What harm would one do. Right? Right. Maybe I can track down some milk.

Yeah

So

Anyway

So Heather, in answer to your question, EAP stands for Employee Assistance Program. Its a free service provided to employees of lots of companies to help them deal with situations in their lives that impact their abilities to do their job. I think I qualify.

I know that Heather had a question about that because she clicked on the link at the bottom of the page that says Something to say about this entry? Add your comments here and asked me. It makes me happy when people comment. I smile goofily at my computer screen. Most of them I answer in one way or another. Just so you know

So the Boyfriend talked to Howie the Jeweler yesterday about my Dream Ring. The Friend of Howie discount brings it down to about $3100. Which is still a ridiculous amount of money. But it IS absolutely gorgeous! What would you do if you were me?

Mom is off to meet Betsy for dinner tonight. Im sure my phone will ring when she gets home. Especially since tonight is a Buffy repeat AGAIN! No new Buffy until April 30th. This makes for an unhappy Jennifer. But I think Id take repeat Buffy over one-on-one dinner with Betsy. Just a guess.
